Launch Recap

20130417-063336 PM.jpgHidden Perspectives started off with a bang last week as scholars, students, LaDIY-ers and supporters came together at the University of Sheffield to launch this wonderful project.

Speeches came from project lead Katie Edwards, community partners LaDIYfest Sheffield, Biblical Studies lecturer James Crossley, TUoS LGBT society representative Yael Shafritz, artist and comedian Chella Quint, student ambassadors Bex Leeman and unfortunately for everyone involved, myself! The talks were brought to a close with a preview of Carol Robson’s wonderful poetry.

There was a great vibe in the room as University staff mixed with society reps, students and community members over a glass of wine. Photos are coming so we will be sure to put them up in a gallery – see if you can spot yourself!

If you don’t want to miss out on the ongoing Hidden Perspectives conversation on twitter, make sure to follow us @HPerspectives. It might also be worth following project leader @KatieBEdwards and the brilliant @ladiyfestsheff.
