Welcome to the weekly News Round Up from the team at Hidden Perspectives. Here’s some articles that were in the news this week!

There was a letter in the Yorkshire Post about Hidden Perspectives which claimed the project was a “stark reminder of how deeply the homosexual heresy has embedded itself into English culture.Have a read here.

The Huffington Post in the US released a report stating that the Church of England attendance decline is starting to stabilize.

The former Chief Constable of West Midlands Police, Lord Dear, has told the House of Lords that if the government approves same-sex marriage it could “create such opposition to homosexuals in general that the climate of tolerance and acceptance in this country that we have all championed and supported and seen flourish over recent years could well be set back by decades.”

and in the US a Conservative group has called the television show Glee an “insult to former President William McKinley”  saying the show has “a gay agenda”,  is “mock[ing] the Bible”, and includes a “large dose of gay”, in its most recent episode.

  1. What interesting letter to The York-shire’s Post! I disagree with Mr Jack Brown though and agree wholeheartedly with most bishops and Mrs Katherine Edwards of the Bible Study.

But I also believe Mr Brown may have made an error in the following argument:

“The engagement of an actor with the stage name of Angel Gaybrial for the premiere event is typical of the wilful infliction of pain on lay Christians by those who demand love they cannot command. Academic heretics like most bishops and Dr Edwards consistently muddy the Biblical waters by challenging Judaism’s explicit condemnation”.

Far from being wrong, this is exactly what the Bible angels SHOULD be doing! Does not the prophet Daniel talk about the angel Michael as, well, a GREAT PRINCE to deliver the people of Israel (Daniel 12.1)? Is this, well, great prince not also of the Jews and therefore instead of muddying those waters he is, is he not, as pure as the High Priest on Yom Kippur?

I am not a native of your great country but I did also read that The York-shire is the home of brass band music and light musical theatre.
