Bringing the Bible Out of the Closet

LaDIYfest Afterparty

You heard right – once the fun of the festival’s afternoon is over there will be MORE FUN in the form of an evening’s entertainment curated by LaDIYfest Sheffield, well known for being able to throw a good party!

The collective, having been going for almost two years now, has organised numerous gigs and events with a huge range of bands and the live music coming on the evening of Saturday June 1st will be no different. Here is a taster of what you can expect:

Sophia Petit has been well known on the Sheffield live music scene for a while now, largely because of The Motherfolkers but we are lucky enough to see her playing a solo set  to open the evening. There’s not much music of hers online at the moment, so you’ll have to come along and see for yourself.

Andrew Lips was last in Sheffield to play one of the infamous Abbeydale Road house shows and he was so good we had to get him back!

A Womb of One’s Own are a brilliant new duo from Stoke – originally it was going to be Elly Kingdon solo but when she asked us if she could bring a friend along, how could we say no?!

ONSIND are awesome and they played a show for LaDIY last summer which had the whole room dancing and singing along, so what better band than to have closing the evening!

All of this for £3 suggested donation, which you can either pay and come along to just the evening bit which will start from 7pm.. or you can come along any point from 11am and see some of the other brilliant stuff going on – you’ll get a wristband which means you can come and go as you please!
