Can you introduce yourself to our readers and give us an idea of what you do?
I have just finished a degree in Biblical Studies with Music. I intend to move to London and try working as a musician. Jazz is the style of music which interests me most!

What will you be doing at the Hidden Perspectives festival?
I will be playing the piano at some point.

How long have you played the piano for? When did you start playing?
I started at the age of 7 and had classical tuition. I developed an interest in jazz around 13, and that has continued to the present day.

Do you play any other instruments?
Yes, trumpet to Grade 5, although I must admit I haven’t played it for a very long time.

Why do you think projects like Hidden Perspectives are important?
Because it raises the questions that are usually put to one side. In raising these questions, we are provoked to address not only re-readings and re-interpretations of the bible, but how they may be applied in today’s society.

Have you been involved with other projects like Hidden Perspectives?
No, although I’m excited about my first visit!

Jamie’s participant page is here.
