My name is Aysha and I am the Hidden Perspectives Project Manager. So here’s a bit about me… I recently graduated with a 1st from the Department of Biblical Studies at the University of Sheffield and am embarking on my next academic adventure: a Masters in Biblical Studies Research. My interests are varied, including the Gospels and the criteria of authenticity regarding the Historical Jesus, how the Bible is used in the media and the depiction of gender and sexuality in Biblical art.
I worked on the Hidden Perspectives research project last year as a student ambassador and will be acting as Project Manager this year. My primary role will be maintaining the Hidden Perspectives blog which will be full of relevant and interesting posts, pictures and people, all relating to the project and its current events.
The project highlights the ongoing relevance of the Bible and is a great opportunity to explore the Bible and its influences today. I am honoured and excited to be offered such a lead role in the project and can’t wait to get started! If last year’s events are anything to go by, Hidden Perspectives will be charting unprecedented territory, while offering a truly enjoyable and educational experience for all involved.
