A bit about National Coming Out Day: pic

– an internationally recognised day

– encourages discussion and recognition of those that identify as Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual Trans and other minority sexuality or gender identities (LGBT)

– founded in 1988 by Robert Eichberg

– this year celebrates the 25th birthday of National Coming Out Day download (1)

For those of you celebrating this years National Coming Out Day, the University of Sheffield’s LGBT committee have planned loads of events and gatherings:

– an event in the View Café from 5pm-6:30pm which will involve an informal setting in which people can share any experiences, thoughts, or questions they have about coming out and being out

– their Facebook page tells you about all their up coming events and activities:

– they are running coming out support groups and workshops:

– and there are positions for people interested in leading discussion in LGBT Christian groups:

– they have a committee blog where people can post their thoughts and read other people’s thoughts:

– and they are hosting a huge Coming Out Party at Climax (see image below)
