For those of you who weren’t at the Off the Shelf event Admen and Eve, you missed out on a real treat! Dr. Katie Edwards took us through her new book and introduced us to the biblical character of Eve in contemporary advertising.

Katie’s book explores how Eve is used in advertising and why she is such a pervasive character in luxury brand advertising which specifically targets women. I won’t give away any spoilers, as it’s a must read book!

It’s safe to say that while the talk was educational, it was also eye-opening, fascinating and at times quite shocking as to the lengths adverts and advertisers will go. Katie was charming and charismatic as well as witty. The evening was enjoyed by all, with people asking when Katie would be giving her next talk and where they could get her book!
