Bringing the Bible Out of the Closet

Hidden Perspectives at the Cinema

Don’t forget that tonight marks the first of three cinema showings put on by Hidden Perspectives and POUT.

Tonight at the Showroom cinema in Sheffield, at 6.30pm, Hidden Perspectives will be Bringing the Bible Out of the Closet with the movie In The Name Of, directed by the fabulous Malgorzata Szumowska. See below for more…

“Father Adam takes over a small parish in the middle of nowhere. He organizes a community centre for boys with troubled pasts. His energy is appreciated, the locals accept him as one of their own. Everybody wants to be close to him, feeding off of his vitality and power, but no one knows he harbors his own secret. After meeting an eccentric and silent young man, a local pariah, Father Adams is forced to confront a long forgotten burden and passion. As the villagers’ worst suspicions are validated, Father Adam becomes an obvious enemy.”

See our previous blogs on the Hidden Perspectives and POUT cinema cooperation here where you will find movie synopses and movie trailers. Also here are a couple of screen shots from In The Name Of below to give you a taster of what’s to come later on tonight:
