Here is the second installment of the series of mini interviews with lecturers from the Department of Biblical Studies who have been involved with Hidden Perspectives in its pilot year. The first mini interview was with Mark Finney and can be seen here. Below is an interview with Hugh, enjoy! Hugh Pyper Talk

Q.What was your Hidden Perspectives highlight from 2013?

A. My highlight was the workshop day, seeing a diverse group of people getting to grips in different ways with important and intellectually challenging questions about the impact of the bible on our understanding of sexuality.

Q.In just three words, how would you summarise Hidden Perspectives’ first year?

A. My three words would be ‘Letting in Light!’

Q.Will you be involved with Hidden Perspectives this year?

A. I will be involved next year.

Q. What are your hopes for Hidden Perspectives in the coming year? Heavenly Helpers

A. I hope we’ll all learn more and be made more aware of the perils and potential of using the bible in contemporary situations.
