|Hidden Perspectives and the University of Sheffield celebrate LGBT History Month:
Lesbian, Gay, Bi, and Trans* Photo Exhibition at the University of Sheffield in February 2015
Are you a lesbian, gay, bi or trans* and love taking photographs? Have you got pictures that celebrate your everyday life at Sheffield? Do your photos celebrate your gender identity, LGBT community, or events? Or perhaps your photographs highlight social issues affecting the LGBT* community, and other sexual minorities? This is a call for ordinary people, amateur or professional photographers in and around Sheffield: email your photos to Hidden Perspectives Photo Exhibition and feature in our public LGBT* photo gallery. Your photos can feature your favourite things, something great about gay life at Sheffield, or things that you wish to change – tell us why! You can write a short paragraph, and tell us more about your photo, what it means to you, or how it makes you feel.
Email your photos* to LGBTphoto@sheffield.ac.uk to take part in the public photo exhibition. Don’t forget to add a title, or write something about the photo (max. 100 words).
The Deadline for photo submissions is Sunday 15th February.
Check the small print first: by emailing your photos to LGBTphoto@sheffield.ac.uk you agree to their use in the exhibition, and confirm that they are your own photographs, taken by yourself, and their content does not breach copyright rules. You must seek approval of other people in the photo and their consent for the photo to be exhibited in the event, prior to submission of your pictures.
Visit Jessop West Foyer at the University of Sheffield to explore the LGBT Photo Gallery 23-27 February 2015, open 10 AM – 6PM daily.
