Hidden Perspectives: Young Writers and Artists Competition

Enter for a chance to win a Kindle Fire (overall prize) or book tokens (runners up and age category winners)!

– Are you a young writer or artist under 18 years of age based in the South Yorkshire area?
– Are there any Bible stories you know – Jesus and his disciples? Noah’s ark? Adam and Eve? Joseph and his coat?
– Would you like to have a go at reinterpreting one of those stories or any other story in the Bible (Old Testament or New Testament) from an angle that talks about LGBT issues?

Hidden Perspectives is a festival happening on June 1st 2013 at the Workstation in Sheffield where any entrant is invited to come and read, perform or display their work. All entries will be put on a section on our blog.

– Age Categories are 11-13 / 14-16 / 17-18

– Written submissions up to 2000 words long and in any format – a monologue, a story, a poem, a play – be as creative as you like!
– Visual art submissions can be photographs, short films, paintings – whatever best fits your ideas.
– It doesn’t matter if you have never picked up a Bible before or what your personal beliefs are, see what you can do!

(LGBT is a collective term referring to ‘Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Trans’ communities. More info can be found here (Wiki).
